High Density is too hard causing needles to get stuck, Low Density is not resilient and compresses too easily, Medium Density is soft enough to work with the needles, but strong enough to last a long time.If you find that your knitting is uneven, or there is frequent jamming and you have been knitting for quite some time, then you will probably need to replace the sponge strip in your machine.
