New P Carriage with P-Carriage Presser  for Pile Knitting on Silver Reed Knitting Machine SK280/SRP60N

P-Carriage is used primarily to knit drive lace or pile stitch patterns.The P-Carriage will allow you to reposition the needles and/or drop stitches. It brings needles from working position B to upper working position C which helps the stitches knit off correctly and stops unintentional tucking,especially when working with heavier yarns.It fits the following Silver Reed/ Singer/Studio/Knitmaster Knitting Machines:

SK210,SK218,SK260,SK270,SK280/SRP60N,SK321,SK322,SK323,SK840/SR840,SK860/SR860.

The P-Carriage and P-Presser are accessories that came with the Ribber like SRP60N but can be used on the main bed (knitter) or the ribber.

 

Main Bed Uses:

1.Position the P-Carriage on the right side of the bed and move from right to left and the stitches

will move behind the latches and leave the needles in C.

2.Position the P-Carriage on the right side of the bed and move twice, once from right to left and back

from left to right and the stitches will be dropped from the needles.

Ribber Uses – always start from the left side of the bed:

1.Move the P-Carriage once from left to right and the stitches on the ribber

will be behind the latches and leave the needles in C.

2.Move the P-Carriage twice, once from left to right and once from right to left

and the stitches will drop from the ribber needles.

 

P-Presser:

The P-Presser is spring loaded and only is used with the P-Carriage when doing pile knitting.
